Course Details
Curation: 12 weeks (Next season begins April 1 - June 30, 2025)
Class Length: Weekly 90-minute sessions
Locations & Schedule Options: The Cowels Center, Minneapolis & The Dance Factory, Forest Lake. Out of state? I offer Zoom lessons too!
Equipment: Your own Cyr Wheel is included! We'll determine the correct size for you before ordering.

About The Program
Who I t’s For
This course is best for 3 types of artists:
1. Beginners who have never touched a wheel before but have dance or acrobatic background & want to accomplish a waltz & develop technical skills in the wheel.
2. Intermediate spinners with 1-3 years of training, can confidently waltz, execute some technique & want to expand their abilities & confidence in the wheel.
3. Advanced spinners who are looking to explore their capabilities & artistry in the wheel, develop a signature style & build an act.
What You’ll Learn
• Fundamentals of Cyr Wheel movement
• Mastering waltzing, surfing, “swaltzing”, coins, turns, hangs, handsprings & cartwheels
• Developing personal style & musicality
• Gaining confidence & unwavering control
• Developing your own act (if desired)

With over a decade of education & professional experience in the Wheel, Sophie has a unique & holistic approach to coaching. She prides herself in being able to break skills down step by step for different learning styles. In each class you’ll experience breakthroughs & lay the foundation for strong technique. Her outgoing & supportive demeanor is sure to inspire & lift you to your Cyr Wheel potential!
